I.e, no resistors?  Yes.  After the cable comes is out, the car tries to 
resume normal life, but cannot.  I cycled power to the ECM to get it 
drivable again.  Ludis wrote saying that the 3.9 k resistor is to test limp 
home mode.  Guess the netres aren't right on.  However, prime concern:  
still no data.
