manifold machining

Loud thinking is always welcome :)
The intercooler is at the vertical center point just below the two throttle
bodies, which mount above the intercooler. I didn't want to mount it too
low, because the plenum is an aerodynamically pathetic box, therefore
airflow at the corners of the box wouldn't be so good. If I had the
intercooler mounted very low, I'd be using less surface area for cooling,
and the remainder of the unit wouldn't do much for cooling my intake charge.
That's the theory anyway. I debated making it a little more aerodynamic,
but that didn't happen. This is a remade intake from the first sheet metal
intake, which had two smaller plenums, about 150 cid each - with longer
runners, feeding the opposite side cylinders from which the turbo is being
powered from (kinda of a crisscross configuration, exhaust of one side blows
the other side)

If this is finned, and centered in the plenum, it might be effectively
reducing the plenum area to half, as far as the benefits of reversion,
waves
etc (for N/A cylinder filling conditions), since they are "hitting" it
at
less the min. resistance angles.
Also, you'll need the lower area when under boost for the air to slow
down
enough to pass thru the finned area. Then enough area again for the
cylinders to draw against.
Just thinking out loud here
