MAF to speed density?

I have an LT1 I'm putting in my car and would like to "ditch" the MAF.
What is the process for doing that?
In case you need this info:
iron heads
headers
auto trans
94 impala ss pcm  16188051
I also would like to ditch the smog stuff. Air pump, egr, etc.

Also here's a link some of you might find interesting. I think the author 
was a GM engineer at one time.
