The neighbor mentioned that all of the urban areas stunk of sulfur from
vehicle exhaust. After he had to fill up with gas, his exhaust started
smelling the same way.

It already got that treatment by leadfooting it back home for 700+ miles.
I find it interesting that the sensor failed so completely. Its almost
as if it went open circuit on it's output.
