LV8 is an analog parameter based on engine speed, number of cylinders, and
MAP or MAF. It's just indicating a relative engine load...a high number is
heavy load--low number is light load--but it's still directly proportional
to the WEIGHT of air displaced by each cylinder--often given in
grams/second.
