need help Programming '165 Memcal

When I programmed the newer chip, I read it back into the buffer and saved
it, then pulled that up in Tunercat and it seemed fine. That was when I
programmed it as a 128 on what I think is the 256 chip, tho.... I haven't
been able to program the newer one as a 256 chip successfully. I did the one
on the right as a 128, and it programmed, but still gave a blinking check
engine light and erratic idle. Put the stock chip back in the car and it
idled perfectly with no check engine light. I'm going to convert my '870 to
a '165 soon, but am trying this out on another persons car to learn! Should
be doing it the other way around, but I wanted to learn and I don't have my
car switched over yet.
