In all seriousness, the best location for an ecm is on the vertical
surface behind the seat.  Underseat clearance is often so small that
there's no room to fit one's hand under there.  In addition, there is a
real issue with water leaks into the passenger compartment of a C3. 
Using the area behind the seat, and hiding everything under the carpet
would work very well, IMO.
