| 1) How does the buffered VSS signal from the '165 get converted to

leave BB9 & BB10 open. Connect your old A10 to BC6, and change prom
0x0018 from 0xd4->0x94... see table below

They check it through variation in MAP. That wire is not connected to the 730
see below.

No, they are different types.... need a new one.

disconnect the cold start injector (remove fuse)
These two PROM changes where needed in my case:
0x0018 0xd4->0x94; MAG SPD SENSOR change
0x0016 0x14->0x04; no VATS
