That sounds a lot simpler than trying to put Humpty Dumpty back together
after the power goes out.

I can't find the Max 808 listed at Digikey, or Jameco. Any other
suppliers? or alterneat Mfg's?

What about the battery? Would 2 3v coin cells be apropriate? (210mAh
each, with a 5mW consumption by the DPRam = quite a bit of backup???).
If so, how do I regulate it to 5v ? 7805? or ???

All I wanted was a Kool Intake...
