Of course not.  The point is that anyone who uses it does so exclusively to
pirate the software.  People that write software for a living (not to
mention any names, but ME) spend considerable time and effort to do so, and
being ripped off is no fun.  Imagine that feeling you'd have if after years
of sweat and labor on your car someone boosted it out of a parking lot.
Hey, GM charges way too much for their cars, right?  And every other
justification pirates use...

If someone wants to write a freeware package that works in conjuction with
the Diacom-style cable, great, that'd be a huge contribution to this
community!  However, until then, there are no other software packages that
do, and that means every cable sold for anything other than to replace a
defective real Diacom cable is sold to commit a crime.  It's that simple.
