1999 5.3 liter Vortec V-8

I have a 99 5.7 vortec, the old style, is there a antitheft with these also?
I know the key deoesnt have the resistor like my camaro does. Also how much
was a harness from howell? are these factory harnesses hard to make work in
a older car? I have the the complete engine harness and computer.  later
