MAP signal damping

I've been pondering this lumpy idle thing for a few
days. Is it possible to just ignor the MAP at any 
RPM below the point where the cam no longer
produces a decent signal to it? Is this what you
mean by a dumber ecm?

Geeeze, that's more questions than answers.
