Intercooler temps (again)

I've heard, with a large reservior (sp?), that the little cooler doesn't
need to do much. By time the coolant cycles through the tubes and sits in
the reservoir, most of the heat is gone. It'd be interesting to see how the
stock system compares when using a larger water cooler or an air-to-air
cooler.
I hear of Sy/Ty guys "upgrading" to air-to-air and figure they must be
cracked. Of course, I have no data to back that up....
