16bit MAF xfer function in '165

-> Has anybody modified the code in a '165 ECM to use a 16bit MAF xfer
-> function? Currently, the stock MAF on the car maxes out at around

This reminds me... I've seen MAFs on Buick V6s and the little Chevy 2.8
V6s that are considerably different from each other - not just Chevy and
Buick, but from seemingly otherwise identical cars. One row of 2.8s at
the junkyard had half a dozen different MAFs.

Are all these MAFs supposed to be calibrated exactly the same no matter
what they look like, or does the code not depend on an absolute gm/sec
value from the MAF?
