First chip ready

When I took my orig chip out, I used a fine jewler's screwdriver and
physically broke the solder joints on the EPROM, and then soldered a
standard socket in the pack, and cut back the blue window so the blue cover
would still fit, and the socket sat low enough to where I can still put the
alum chip window back on the ECM like factory... Would imagine a ZIF would
stick out far enough to where you could not do this on a '165...
Didn't have to desolder at all...

stupid but what is the Easiest way to unsolder the chip out of the Memcal?
Is there a good Cheap Iron from Radio Shack or something to get that will
fit down in the confined space? I am going to solder a socket in so I don't
need to keep doing this once I get the old prom out.
