Stumped at CSH, HQ

		During driving lession neighbors daughter panic stops.
Engine stalled and
		wouldn't restart.  While calling home guy overhears
conversation.  Unpluggs
		4 terminal connector off of tranny holding two wires (looks
like purple, and
		orange/Black wires).  Car starts and drives fine.  Once home
neighbot asks
		me to look at it.  Duh, plug connector in-no start,  unplug+
starts.   So
		just for grins clear codes, and retry connector procedure,
car now runs
		fine.  What did I do??????.  MY 86, had an abuse mode?....
		   Just curious if anyone has seen this before.
