So for quarter-mile, it's best to keep the converter unlocked?

I know on my '85 Corvette, there is a purple wire on a switch by the brake
pedal that I can hook a switch up to and kill the TCC lockup no matter what
the ECM is telling it. I'm thinking of doing this and disable the TCC at the
track. The wire is basically the feed to the TCC Solenoid and when the brake
pedal is pressed, it kills the feed, turning the TCC off.
