Might eventually idle so fast ya didn't need the gas.  The symptom is
usually high idle, which comes down when you exceed 35mph.

If ya like spinnin the tires, that might be enough to keep idle down. 
I know how those torchcar drivers are....

Hmmm...  Think of it as a low cost alternative to Nascar.
