Some of these differences aren't due to 730/749 hardware differences. 
Some of them are due to the harness designer choosing an alternate pin. 
Example, the two ALDL pins are connected internal to the 730/749 and
hence are identical.  Some differences are due to different vehicle
configurations.  Example, there are no VSS input ECM differences, the
wiring differences are due to different VSS types.  Just about any
software version could use either 730/749 VSS input.
