long term uv erase

I accidentally left some proms in the UV eraser over Christmas break - about 
a week - they seemed to reprogram just fine.  I have been running them too.  
Should I consider these junk, or just realize their life may be limited.  
Everything I have read says these are suspect, but they don't seem to be 
fried.  Just one more reason to get a UV light with a timer.
