Wes go to the wreckers and have a look at the harmonic balancer , .
The system uses 2 hall effect sensors and two sets of rings, one has three
different length slots to determine which cylinder to fire and the other
multiple slots for rpm reference (dont remember offhand the number of
slots).
the whole thing can be replicated inside your existing dizzy using two hall
effect pickups and two different sets of slots or mount a chopper plate on
the harmonic balancer (they dont like water or dirt though)
