The way i solve that dry start problem is to use an Oil accumulator
(like an AccuSump), basically a piston
with compressed air on one side and engine oil on the other and a
electric valve to pump oil into the engine when valve is opened.. I
control it with my ignition line, so when the car starts, it doesnt
start on a dry (well low oil pressure..) system... also helps to
maintain oil pressure on drop outs (which should never happen)..
