The way i solve that dry start problem is to use an Oil accumulator 
(like an AccuSump), basically a piston
with compressed air on one side and engine oil on the other  and a 
electric valve to pump oil into the engine when valve is opened.. I 
control it with my ignition line, so when the car starts, it doesnt 
start on a dry (well low oil pressure..) system... also helps to 
maintain oil pressure on drop outs (which should never happen)..
