GM HO (330HP) under TBI

I have a friend who knows some folks who are dropping 330HP HO chev
crate motors into stock TBI trucks with few mods and getting them
running well, even passing emissions. They are using a GM part # intake
to mate the TBI to the Vortec heads.

Any thoughts / experience on this? Can it truly be that easy?
