Thanks Ken.  At least that confirms that it's something at my end.  I'm 
still having no luck contacting that site.  I'll just have to wait a day or two 
and see if it clears up.  

Meantime, to whomever maintains the gmecm site, the "160 baud info" 
link on the gmecm site is definitely broken, it just goes to a "404 error" 
page at geocities.  The FlexScan link is also broken, but I did manage 
to find it eventually, at
