This weekend I bought some stuff at our local self service junk yard for my
Dodge 440 to GM TBI conversion because they were having a half price sale. I
got a wiring harness , fuel pump and sensors from a 4.3 Astro Van and I got
two Caddy throttle bodies, one with injectors with 1.75" (I think it was
from
one of those 8-6-4 motors but it looked like the standard GM type with the
more modern looking TPS) bores and one TB from a port injected engine with
2.25" bores (I think it was from a 6.0 litre engine). 
	With some cutting and some JB Weld I put the injector mount from the
wet throttle body on the dry throttle body and also added a TPS that will
plug into the Astro harness. It looks pretty good. I now have a two barrel
throttle body with 2.25" bores. I hope the big block injectors will work in
this injector mount. 
	The next step is to make an adapter plate to put this throttle body
on the Dodge intake manifold. 
	
Question: How is idle speed controlled on the standard GM two barrel
throttle bodies? I looked around the junk yard and could not see an idle
speed controller on any of the two barrel units but I do not think I saw any
non Caddy TB's so I can not say whether the 4.3 units had ISC's. I think I
saw some ISC's on some one barrel units. Is there an external ISC that I
might be able to use that just regulates the amount ofair  that bypasses the
throttle? The hybrid throttle body I have produced seems to have a provision
for manual idles speed setting only?
