Cable Driven VSS (camira)

i use JE camira EFI on my mini... i also used the VSS out of a VN 
commodore... matched with the vn instrument cluster...  Is it nessecary to 
use the camira dash?? (ie is it a camira?) VSS $19 VN dash $30 tuned it with 
a simple resistor.. works a treat...
