Check out the article in Popular Hot rodding May 2001
Page 26 they say movement of the belt tensioning
device is a sign of detonation. In the Dyno Cell they
video tape the engine under load, then play it back
to find where the detonation happened. It would be 
interesting to see if we could put a strain gauge
or other sensor to monitor tensioner movement
while we are driving.
