Rob,

This is a nifty idea using a PIC to add functionality to the data stream. If
I can add an idea, maybe send the PIC ADC channels at a more
frequent interval than the packet rate. It should be possible to send six
ADC channels between each or every other data byte.

In this manner it would be easy for folks to data log additional information
at a higher rate. It would be very easy to add the TPS, MAP, a WB O2
at a higher rate to the existing data stream.

I can understand that some folks prefer to not use a PIC. However,
they are a good device. (It helps if you know someone that has a PIC
burner. You don't need to know how to program them to use them).
