Try http://www.fiero.org/ for Fiero info.

You probably won't find much on the '7748 - for the same reason you
won't find much on hot rodding 4 & 6 cylinder Camaros.  The '7748 is a
very limited ECM meant for essentially only two applications.  GM
special cased this ECM because those two applications are very common. 
I wouldn't recommend the '7748, unless it exactly matches your project.

FYI, the ALDL in the '7748 is transmit only, although at 8192 baud.
