vss pulse fun

I have a riddle, or maybe a story problem or whatever you want to call it.
Ok here is my mutant car and what the problem is.  I have V8 Fiero with a
Fiero VSS sending a 2000 pulse per mile signal to the 91 Camaro tpi ECM and
prom, which I am not sure, but I believe, sends the signal in kind to the
speedometer.  My problem is that I have a dash from a Cadillac that I want
to put in the car but it requires a 4000 pulse per mile signal.  Is there a
way to have the ECM double the pulse rate and send it to the Speedo?
