TBI fuel pressure regulator question

That dead-head psi sounds a bit low.  You really need a inline pressure
test to see if the pump can maintain the VOLUME of fuel flow.  I've seen
port injected cars (~40 psi) run on TBI pumps - will idle, but heavy
throttle is a no-go.

Check the connection between the pump & the sender pipe, might be leaking.
Or the pump might be junk....
