Disabled MALF question

Hi there!

On '730 ECMs and their ilk (i.e. 3.1 MPFI, 350TPI, etc.) does disabling a
MALF by clearing the flag bit in the MALF flag bytes disable the test, or
just the lighting the lamp if the test fails?
