If you want to know what AFR your engine likes, use the technique in my 
website below to adjust it while you drive and you can feel the difference 
between 14.7 and something else.

Also, since Georgia just had its first cold snap of the fall, I was able to 
find the AFR that my engine likes when cold. I started lean and just kept 
making it richer until the engine perked up. If you watch an engine 
temperature gage while tweaking the potentiometer, you'll know what AFR to 
program in your open loop table for cold running without hesitation. Finally, 
a way to program cold open loop. This is ideal for cold tuning since by the 
time you burn a new chip the engine has changed temperature on you. With the 
pot, you keep adjusting the AFR as the engine warms to find how lean you can 
run when cold.
