>>does anybody have an opinion on the differences in performance between a
factory tbi system and a tpi system set up with this ECM? If i'm
interpreting this correctly, it'll control very similarly to the batch fired
TPI.

The biggest issue with this is probably going to be tuning. It'll take a
LOT of work to get it to run right, as the TBI code is set up for a wet-flow
manifold (fuel and air flow through the intake,) while TPI (or any other
multi-port system) uses a dry-flow manifold (air only in the intake.) This
means the Accel. Enrichment routines are going to be difficult at best, and
there are likely to be other issues that crop up and cause problems.

It could be done, but I think the best bet if you're going to use a
multi-port setup would be to go to a '7730 ECM. There's a ton of tuning
support for it from the Camaro guys, and the code is already written with a
dry-flow manifold in mind. It also uses the faster 8192 baud rate, which the
'7747 does not IIRC.
