I think you'll find the water pump, oil pump, rocker arms, valve 
covers, oil pan (on E cars), and a few other parts interchange.  
That is not to say a diesel is a gas block, but it certainly bolts 
directly into the same location.  

My opinion, a THM700 will die fast behind a 500.  Bruce Roe
