Mine takes <2ms to erase....
Pfft, EPROMS - Get with the times EEPROMS are the go.

I use what is a flourescent tube, without the flourescent
coating. Clear glass. To get erasure in reasonable
time, my chips need to be almost touching the tube.
After you find the minimum time, I would triple it to
avoid any marginal situations.
