[Gmecm] turbocharger on a speed density system?

Hi Michael, welcome to the list.

You could probably get away with adding a boost retard box and a rising rate
fuel pressure regulator as many have done before, or change the ECU to a GM
1227749 from a Syclone/Typhoon. The '749 knows all about boost and handles
the spark & fuel properly under boost conditions. That's the route I took
for my blown 928, and it's worked pretty well these past few years.

Tons more info in the archives, and a '749 specific page on GMECM.

Hello all! I am new to the list, but have already gotten a ton of help from
you all just reading the archives. now I am hoping for more of the same
help. I am interested in installing a turbocharger setup on my 383 SBC. It
is already extensively modified: alm. vortech heads, GMPP intake manifold,
compucam roller camshaft, Hooker supercomp headers and a custom built
exhaust system. I have modified the existing ECM to use the Romulator 2 so I
have full controll over the FI system. I am not sure however if the ECU will
respond well to boost pressure where it expects vacuum. I have heared of
using 2 or 3 bar MAP sensors and whatnot, but as of yet have not gotten any
straight usefull answers. any help that anyone could lend would be greatly
appreciated.
