I'm using that adapter made by TCI.  It's not that good as it doesn't 
provide and adequate way to center the torque converter.  The spacer washers 
that come with it have a huge hole in the center.  It's enough to throw 
things out of balance if they aren't centered the same.

I used it to put a 1984 trans am 700r4 behind a 1973 oldsmobile 350, in a 
1982 caprice classic, that I turned into a truck.

Little bit of on topic stuff, ECM controlled TCC is so much nicer then 
manual switches.

There was also a multipattern TH400 for BOP and SBC patterns, and I have
heard of a BOP 700, though never seen one.

There's an adapter available from Summit for $58 as well for BOP to SBC.
