[Gmecm] 340 EFI (longish)

Mike,
TX is good about preserving sheetmetal (most of the time), but terrible on
soft parts. Too much sun down here for any sort of paint, plastic, vinyl,
or leather to survive long. I trade sheetmetal for dash pads with a buddy
of mine from Ontario...

The early Dart/SRT-4 creature is still a figment of my imagination, but it
doesn't look like it would be hard to do now.

Scott,
The intake is set up for the injectors out of the box. This particular
version is sort of a bastard child of the older LA engines (t-stat housing
location) and the Magnum engines on the rest. Made my serpentine
installation more difficult than it might have been with the straight Magnum
parts. The goal of the intake was to allow the folks with the Magnum
engines in their trucks simply swap the OEM beer barrel intake with this one
for greater rev potential. All the other Magnum bits and pieces drop on.
Some, like the OEM 2-bbl throttle body, require an adapter which I chose not
to use for hood clearance reasons. The injectors are also nicely angled
towards the intake valves. Down side to that is that it cramps space needed
for the throttle body levers (which isn't a problem with the adapter...) -
note that my TB is turned 90* for that reason.

Hopes are that the EFI will make for a nice all-weather daily driver, and
killer throttle response with no worry of fuel control on the autoX course.

Clair
