[Gmecm] Geting rid of electronic transmission.

Thats about the worst idea you could possibly have. The TCC is not designed to take the abuse of heavy loads on it. I run about 45% TPS MAX before I unlock the converter, especially at lower vehicle/engine speeds. Locking up as soon as you go into 4th, gives you a bad bog, and poor acceleration. Fluid will still get to the cooler in 4th gear. I have a transmission temperature gauge. I drove around without a functioning lockup for some time, not knowing it. The transmission never ran any warmer than it did with the lockup functioning. This is pulling a 5,300 lbs aerodynamic brick with only a 305.

that transmission is in 4th gear and not locked up the fluid does not flow
through the cooling circuit.

This is probably rarely a problem in town, but it can be when towing.

My Blazer briefly was wired so that TCC locked immediately in 4th gear
because the transmission guy thought it was a good idea.
