hi,  i  am sure the 27 means basically  uv, ultra violet erase.
and the 28 and 29  mean its electronic erase...

  Could someone explain to me, besides the eeprom and eprom aspect,  the difference between the 27C256, 28C256 and 29C256 chips? Most specifically what does the 28 and 29 mean?
