Thanks to everyone for their replies.
Having stared at the problem and explored the movement range of the loom for
a long time today, I'd come to the conclusion that a vertical mount is the
only solution. From a loom, ease of mounting, and access to the MEMCAL door
pov, it works best with the connectors facing upwards, though.
I'm not sure how much protection the plastic connector cover provides, but,
given Hank's wise words, I'll think longer and harder...
