Nevertheless it would be very interesting to look at the code and compare
various configurations.

HPTuners is fine if all you want to do is adjust parameters in the
calibration data.  If you really want to understand the PCM, it is useless,
because the file generated by a read of the pcm is encrypted - very
annoying.
