this finds you doing well. I have made some progress with the DIS on my typhoon
that I would like to share and maybe get some feedback from you. If you feel
this would be better on list let me know. I have bought the prom pac for the
3.1L Turbo Pontiac Grad Prix and have been using it in the typhoon with pretty
good success. It runs much better and the sporadic miss that has plagued me from
the start of this project has disappeared, and also the fact if the ecm ever
went into limp home mode the motor would not run has been resolved because of
the prom pac also. Just some more information on this project. I have been
moving values around to try and find the ve tables and not found the correct
area yet, dont worry I dont plan on giving up. Looks like the DIS project does
work, just it is not a plug and play if you want all the stuff to work,
especially limp home mode!!</SPAN></FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#0000ff face=Arial size=2><SPAN class=069195115-10082000>I also
found out some interesting interactions between different bins and the prom pac
that is plugged into the ECM. I have been tuning a friends 78 3/4 Ton 4X4
Chevy truck that we have installed a small block 400 that have been bored over
with a camero 90 TPI and a paxton blower onto, will have pictures if you would
like. I been tuning for the past couple of days. I decided to try a 90 Vette bin
( ANHT ) with the camero prom pac and all worked except the blm cell would go to
4 and never move no matter where the throttle and or RPM were set. Did not
get a chance to trouble shoot, just wanted to get the truck drivable switched
back to the camero bin and all was well. During one of the bin changes I
accidentally changed the bit for the cylinder type ( TPI ) and when we started
the truck get error 41 ( I may be wrong , was cylinder select error though
) I did not know the prom pac and the bin interacted. This has been such a great
learning experience.... gotta go meeting in about 10 minutes. Take care and hope
to hear from you soon.</SPAN></FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#0000ff><EM>I recently "upgraded" my 84 Vette Xfire with a

separation. I also upgraded the heads to the new </EM></FONT></DIV>

manifold. On a 95 degree day, car ran a 14.3 at 99.7mph and pulled 253
hp@4600rpm/307 lbft@4200rpm at the rear wheels on chassis dyno. This was
with stock configuration chip. I am interested in knowing if anyone has a
bin file for a combination similar to this. I don't doubt that knock Sensor
was causing retard of timing since power went south after 4600rpm. I
have a Needhams EMP-10 burner and would be interested in mainly
suggested fuel and timing calibrations. I believe it is running slightly
rich especially at cold idle strartup and would also like to address
dis/engagement of 4+3 OD unit at higher speeds.</EM></FONT></DIV>
