<P><FONT SIZE=2>Well.. Lean conditions invite detonation, and lean conditions can make the piston more brittle, put the two together and you have cracked pistons. </FONT></P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2>The fuel is there to help cool the chamber at WOT, as well as help promote power. </FONT>
