Hack thought for MAS system???

The basic principle behind the proposal to leak air past the MAS is ok for
fuelling. As Jim rightly says, you are going to have to do a lot of
development to get it to work correctly.

However, you are going to run into another problem which you haven't
considered. The computer uses the MAS signal to generate an ignition timing
curve. If you bypass the MAS then the computer will "think" that you are
running a very light throttle opening. This will advance the ignition. As
you will be running more boost, this will lead to detonation and the knock
sensor will heavily retard the ignition. The car will not run nicely and you
will go nuts trying to figure out what it could be:)

So, you have 3 choices

1) Make a very small modification, so as not to affect the timing greatly,
and see if you can tell the difference!
2) Take into consideration the timing, and fit another timing computer
3) Forget it.
