Pah, semiconductors, a guy here in the UK turbocharged a Morris Minor and added 
an EFI system based around old fruit machine (bandit) switches and clockwork 
parts (I think that would qualify as the E in EFI?)He won CCC converted car of 
the year not long ago for this effort.
