Knock sensor using HIP9010

~ I am designing a knock monitor around the HIP9010 chip. The data sheet
~ only gives a "minimum" circuit. Has anyone actually used this component
~ in a real application? I need to know two things:

~ 1. Is there any additional protection or biasing components needed for
~    the inputs?

~ 2. What sort of settings are best for the programmable filters in this
~    device?
~

I am quite interested in your results (as is everyone else) - keep us posted.

If I recall, there was someone on this list who used the HIP9010 chip on an
airplane engine.  They were going to post more info, but I never saw it.
