thermodynamically yes, however (as always) there are other 
limitations, the big one being the maximum pressure rise rate.  If you 
*could* burn it all at once the pressure rise rate would be infinite, 
exciting all the natural frequencies of literally everything (fourier 
series etc..).  The worst would be the combustion chamber volume which 
would give you the same effect as knock (ie. turbulence => high heat 
transfer => meltdown).
