Clicking in 89 Mazda 323

I know the car somewhat as I own one, but
only for a short time and don't have a good
tech doc on it's electronics.  I am aware that
it retards as a function of engine temp, but I have
not see a knock sensor on it.  haven't lkooked though.
Does anyone have a good SAE type paper on the control
systems for this car?
